Bourg St Maurice
Finding us:
The Chalet is situated in Seez, a village 5 minutes outside Bourg St Maurice, situated at the base of Les Arcs Ski resort in the French Alps. There is a funicular train which takes you into Les Arcs 1600 from Bourg St Maurice in 7 minutes. If you are coming in by car, drive through Bourg St Maurice towards Tignes and Les Arcs. When you get to the roundabout with Super U supermarket infront of you, take a left and follow the road follow the road for about 1km. Go straight over the next roundabout and you arrive in Seez. Drive through the village and the road forks. Take the right fork towards Tignes. Follow the road for about 2km and to your left take a turning called LONGEFOY. The chalet is the 2nd on the Left. Drive up the path and leave your car either in the Garage or well infront of it.

Flights:
Bourg St Maurice is very easily accessible for British snow lovers. Easyjet fly to Grenoble from Bristol, Gatwick and Luton. Grenoble is about 1 h away by train, and the train station is 20 min away from the airport. See http://www.altibus.com for transfer to the train station.
There is also the snow train which goes from London waterloo to Bourg St Maurice and takes 7 hours and if you take the direct train. Prices range from £160- £270 for standard class. There are often deals where you can get 1st class tickets for the price of 2nd class. You get a champagne meal, all the wine you can drink and breakfast in the morning.
Another option is the sleeper train which leaves Friday evening and travels through the night. Each person has a bed and you arrive in Bourg St Maurice at 7am fully refreshed and ready for a day on the slopes. Travelling this way gives you 1 extra day on the slopes.
There are also good deals flying to Lyon, Chambery and Geneva from most Airports in Britain. From these airports there are regular transfer coaches to Bourg St Maurice. The coach ride take 2 hours from Lyon, 1 hour from Chamberry and 2 1/2 hours from Geneva.

Travelling from the chalet:
For the winter season, we will be taking you to and from the funicular. We wil always make sure that you can be collected or dropped off whenever required. There is a free shuttle bus which stops outside the chalet which takes you to the centre of Bourg St Maurice, so you can do some shopping without doing too much walking! It also takes you to other resorts such as La Rosiere which is a less well known resort which is quiet and It also sits right on the Italian border so you can ski into Italy! St Foy is also a fantastic resort for off piste and this year a new chair lift is open so even more powder!
There is a good snow park in les Arcs, but if you wish to test out some bigger and better kickers Tignes and Val D'Isere have excellent snow parks with some Afterbang size black kickers for those of you who wish to have serious air time! There you will also find a boarder cross and skier cross course. There are coaches from Bourg St Maurice which take you there in 40 min, but as it is only 20 min from the chalet we will be doing regular trips to these resorts on the days that you decide as a group. For those of you driving, keep on the main road that runs away from Seez and you will be there in 20 min.
La Plagne (recently added to Les Arcs) is similar to Les Arcs and it has all the riding you could want. As we are so near Italy and Heli boarding is illegal in France, you can go Heli boarding in Italy! These are trips we can organise for you if you can get a few of you interested.
